The Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, Afolabi Shuaib Salisu has declared that the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN) will remain the number one Islamic Organization in the country.
He stated this while speaking with our correspondent shortly after the electoral conference of the MSSNLagos held at the iconic J. F. Ade Ajayi Hall, University of Lagos on Sunday.
According to him, “MSSN will remain the number one (Islamic) organisation. MSSN is fostering national unity and building bridges across Nigeria. The likes of Prof. Oloyede of JAMB, Ibrahim Shekarau of Kano and a host of other national symbols are products of MSSN.”
“When students (organisations) come together, they are renewing the hope in the country…they are renewing the role they need to play in realising the country of our dream.”
The Senator commended the student-based association for their effort in securing a court injunction for the use of Hijab in Lagos State secondary schools.
He added that “The Hijab you are freely wearing today used to be a big deal back in the days”
