No fewer than 100 Muslim students across tertiary institutions in Ile Ife have received lectured about Da’wah methodology delivered by a renowned Islamic scholar in Nigeria, Sheikh Qamardeen Ballo on Sunday.
The lecture which was organized by the Markazud Da’wah, Ile Ife Unit at Poplat central mosque, OAU school gate witnessed Muslim students with some dignitaries.
Sheikh Ballo urged Muslims to take calling to the path of Allah(Da’wah) as an integral part of their life, describing Da’wah as solutions to all evils that are happening in the world.
According to him, “People need someone that will explain to them about Islam. If Muslims didn’t want this world to keep destroying, they have to establish Da’wah.
” There is no work or profession that a Muslim is doing, that he can’t do Da’wah with it. If you are good at writing, use writing to preach Da’wah, If you’re good at speaking, use speaking to preach Da’wah.
“If there is a society that did not forbid what is bad and enjoy what is good, such society will be destroyed.
” Muslims must take it serious, that if they want to call for Da’wah, if they want people to forbid what is evil, they must not be part of the dwellers of evils.”
The Islamic scholar also advised the leaders of Islamic associations to always direct their preachings to the path of Allah and not to their associations.
He explained that Islam considered all Muslims to be brothers and sisters who belonged to one community which based its foundation on faith and persuasion of common objectives (path to Allah).
He added that Muslims were commanded to be one community and not to be divided, saying, “Allah says hold firmly to the rope of Allah, all together and do no become divided.”
He enjoined Muslims to hold firm to the straight path and not to deviate, adding that in Islam, brotherhood was preserved and maintained solely to build one Ummah (community).
