Following the directive of the Federal Government that ordered the immediate closure of tertiary institutions, secondary and primary schools nationwide and forbidden gatherings of not more than 50 people over the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country, the Standard Bearers Islamic Organization (SB) that has has cancelled her April Camp over the coronavirus.
Due to the rampaging COVID 19 pandemic, SB Ile-Ife is planning a virtual camp as an alternative to normal camping activities that is expected to hold during the easter holidays.
Mallam Hassan Abdulfataah, who is the coordinator disclosed this to our correspondent on Wednesday.
He said radio programmes, which will span from Friday 10th of April till Monday 13th of April, have been planned with Orange FM Akure and Crown FM in Ile ife.
According to him, “Programmes on the Crown FM will be live with various gift to be shared at the end of each program. There will also be live streaming of lectures on our Facebook page on Saturday 11th of April and Monday 13th of April .
“The general public are hereby encouraged to look at the online flyers for details of the lectures.
However, he urged Muslims to observe basic hygiene such as avoiding body contact, large gatherings, close contact with a sick person or persons.
He further urged Muslims to keep a distance of at least five feet from anyone coughing and sneezing.
