The renowned Islamic institute in Osun state, Markazud Daa’wah Wa Thaqohfatil Islamiyyah on Sunday trained her members on how to revive the spirit of studentship.
This was revealed to Dpath To Jannah team during the Sunday’s halqoh organized by the Islamic institute tagged ‘Reviving the spirit of studentship’ which was held at Poplat Central Mosque before OAU campus gate in Ile Ife.
While delivering lecture, the Guest lecturer, Ustadh Idris Adebisi Olaide who doubles as the former Mudir of Markazud Daawah urged members to always search for good knowledge.
In his words, ” One thing we all should know is that good knowledge is something we all should have in our life. We should not trade it for bad knowledge no matter what. It will come to a time that it won’t be relevant again and the knowledge we impacted in our lives will be the one to bring daily bread to our table.”
The Islamic cleric also urged members to know everything about the course they are taking in school.
He admonished them to learn useful skills alongside the course they are studying in school.
“Know the kind and the whole thing about the course you’re taking. Also, make sure you learn something with it. Have a side skill, probably something alongside your course. Most importantly, knowledge without following the path of Allah (Deen and Qur’an) is useless.
“We have to rethink what we came to do and determined what we want to intend to do with the certificate which will make you propel your effort in it,” he said.
Members of the Islamic institute and other Muslims who attended the program commended the efforts of the organisers for coming up with such suitable program.
