Azeezah started following me to Madrasah. She attended many programs with me and even camping programs. At first, it seems hard to her because she has not done such before but with time she adapted to the system.
In few months, her behavior has changed and even her dressing. She has been able to be completing her five daily prayers and using hijab. She always fast on Monday’s and Thursdays.
I was amazed by the drastic change in her but of course I’m happy for her after all that’s all have always wanted for her.
After first semester ended, she decided to stay back in school because she’s not ready to face her parents yet. She always tell me that her parents will go against her change in attitude and dressing but I do tell her to always put it in her dua’a so that her parents can be able to support and not oppose her.
During the few weeks of break, she perfected her deen and memorized some juzus in the Qur’an. When second semester came in, she told some of her friends about markazud da’awah programs of how it has always been an interesting and educative programs.
I heard her one day telling one of her friends on phone that: “What I like most about them is that they don’t discriminate, they see one another as family and what do family do?, they love one another.” I smiled when I heard this. She invited them to madrasah and they are all doing great.
Everything went smoothly and here came the end of the session, it’s time for my friend to go home. She’s afraid of going home. I persuaded her to go. After so many talks, she finally summoned up the courage and she went home. I also went home the same day but all I could think of was how she will meet her parents.
The next day,she called me and said: “hello Jameelah, I’m very happy right now, guess what? My parents didn’t take the matter as I thought they would. When I got home, I met only my mum at home, she looked at me from head to toe and welcomed me warmly and said I have become lean. My thought was that she will talk about my dressing but she didn’t.
“My dad came back at night and we all ate dinner together. After dinner, both of them called me to the sitting room. I was already expecting the worst as all my thoughts were on how they will blast me but they didn’t. Dad started by saying ‘Alhamdulillah, Azeezah, we have always wanted the best for you, your mum told me about how your dressing has changed and how you have made sure you didn’t miss your solah since you came back in the morning. That’s good infact I’m glad that you went to school and came back better than before we are proud of you’
“Both of them discussed many things with me and I thanked them. But my mum insisted on knowing what’s behind this change of mine. Then I told her that the secret is MARKAZUD DA’AWAH. I told her how you introduced and told me about it and how I attended programs and camping programs. She was very happy that I didn’t end up like her sister. Thank you my dear Jamelah. I am very grateful.”
Immediately we finished our phone conversation, I made supplication by bowing down to Allah for everything he has done. I was very happy because It was a happy ending after all hurdles. Alhamdulillah .
