I was once asked, “What comes to mind when you hear new beginnings?”
I responded: They’re those moments in life when we find ourselves on the edge of change—sometimes by choice, other times, by force . Uncertain periods that we start faking certainty.
It could be a new school, a job, or even a shift in mindset that seems too small to matter but ends up changing everything. If you know that foreign feeling of stepping into an unknown territory, you’ll know it’s exciting, but let’s be honest: it can also feel overwhelming.
New beginnings are like gifts that give us space to pause, reflect, and choose a better direction. They’re a chance to let go of what no longer fits us and embrace something new with an open mind and heart. Of course, these moments demand courage—trusting that even when the path isn’t clear enough, we’ll find our way, guided by purpose and a faith that everything is unfolding as it should.
Taking that first step with intention makes a difference. Think about what you want from this new chapter, maybe a guiding principle. Is it wisdom, inner peace, or something else entirely? A clear intention helps keep us grounded, especially when things get messy.
And let’s not forget gratitude. Every beginning, whether we see it now or at a later time, carries a hidden blessing. Welcoming each start with a grateful heart opens us up to opportunities we may not have anticipated, shaping us into better versions of ourselves.
So, here’s to new beginnings!
May they be pathways that bring us closer to growth, purpose, and the peace that comes from trusting in Allah. In every step forward, may we find the strength to rely on Him, knowing that each new start is part of His divine plan, guiding us toward becoming the best versions of ourselves.
