In the past, Palestine was hapless. It soon became helpless but we all can see that it is not hopeless.
And do not weaken in pursuit of the enemy. If you should be suffering – so are they suffering as you are suffering, but you expect from Allāh that which they expect not. And Allāh is ever Knowing and Wise. An-Nisa’ 4:104
Such is the word of Allah, the disposer of life’s affairs. Though it’s been a long year filled with innumerable dark moments, our hope remains high. With our physical, economic and political limitations, Palestine still exists, against the wish of the occupiers. It beats their imaginations that their invincibility status was being challenged continuously for a whole year despite the material advantages at their disposal. How else do we define defeat?
Though many of our leaders keep suppressing us, the voice of the masses remains loud. The enemy tried so hard to divide us along ideological and methodological lines, our will remains unbroken. We were dissuaded from protesting against their indirect support, we took our calls to the one above the heavens, and He answered us. They downplayed the impacts of our economic actions, but their own economy tanked. They belittled our global solidarity actions, encampments and demonstrations, but anywhere they go, they get ostracized. Even the ones who asked for condemnation in their support could not help but condemn their barbarity. Palestine became the issue of the year. Our little efforts kept them under immense pressure that today, they act like a mad dog attacking anything in sight with their reckless morality.
The blood of our martyrs keep haunting them. The more they kill, the more they lack fulfillment. We have taught them that there is nobility in death. For us, death is not the end. They mourn their dead, we celebrate our martyrs. Can’t you see it? We announce the martyrdom of our heroes while they hide their casualties and fatalities. Above the ruins of Gaza, hope rises for better days.
What else is left in their script to act after a battered image and a bruised ego? Their Amalek mission has failed before their very eyes while Palestine still remains steadfast. They beat their drum too hard, and it has begun to tear. So much shame for the self acclaimed Chosen people.
And say, “Truth has come, and falsehood has departed. Indeed, falsehood is, [by nature], ever bound to depart.” Al-Isra’ 17:81
Is it not incredible? The pride and arrogance of about eight decades is being humbled before the whole world. Thus, we know the true nature of the mission that was presented as a fair deal. They came with Zionism presented as Judaism, people against the book disguised as people of the book.
We know that time is not in the hands of man. If it were, Palestine would have become forgotten. Alas, when they sought to finish their mission by normalizing with the neighbours at the detriment of regional peace, the resistance forced the deal to be put on hold. This is simple, you cannot get peace by oppressing others. When you deny others justice, you have murdered peace. The land thieves now hide in bunkers. How awesome! Having held sway for a long time, they are now losing the war of attrition, battling for survival! “… These are the days, we alternate them between people…” Āl Imran 3:140. Victory is here, there is no stopping it.
If you do not go forth, He will punish you with a painful punishment and will replace you with another people, and you will not harm Him at all. And Allāh is over all things competent. At-Taubah 9:39
October 7 was a challenge for the ummah – a reflection and introspection point, to take stock of the level of spiritual, intellectual rot which has held us down socially, politically and materially. We cannot but admit our failures to unite purposefully to preserve our heritage and legacy. Our docility only serves the interest of the invading enemy. Responding to Allah’s call of defence and solidarity with Palestine is the obligatory duty on us all, within our respective capacities and capabilities.
We may not see the final result in our lifetime just as the prophet didn’t physically witness the win over Persian and Roman empires, our contributions to this project signifies a step taken forward in the liberation of Palestine. We have come this far, we cannot afford to retreat. How do we explain the loss of Palestine before Allah with the resources at our disposal? We ought to have realized the import of Allah’s instruction for the believers to unite for the preservation of global peace (Anfal:73). If the oppressors can do it, we should be able to do same.
Our hope is in Allah, the one whose words are always true.
…And never will Allāh give the disbelievers over the believers a way [to overcome them]. An-Nisa’ 4:141
