A large crowd of Muslims were seen gathered at the NEPA Central Mosque in Jimeta, Yola, to offer special prayers, Solatul Istisqah for rain at an Eid praying ground.
With the city experiencing a 25-day dry spell, crops are withering, and farmers are worried about a potential poor harvest.
The Acting District Head of Jimeta, Mohammadu Chubado, addressed the gathering, expressing gratitude for their attendance.
He also encouraged the congregation to continue praying until the much-needed rains arrive.
