“It pains me deeply that the owners of those agonized cries for help are being forgotten so quickly. This reality chokes me, refusing to let my constricted heart relax, keeping my wounds raw and unhealed. Whenever I hear people mention the Palestine war, only to gloss over the main character in the scene – the Palestinian – I feel like nobody cares about humanity.
I wonder why people don’t take the time to research and instead prefer to listen to what they’re told. It detaches me from this world when both Muslims and non-Muslims narrate the Palestine story, only to reduce it to ‘those fighting in the land of Israel’ and ‘Hamas’.
What about the Palestinians? What about those burying their loved ones every second? What about those demolished in their homes, crushed in their hospital beds, or imprisoned and tortured? Why are their stories ignored, their humanity disregarded? Have they not endured enough?
It’s baffling that people refuse to see the truth, instead judging a book by its cover, perpetuating stereotypes based on fabricated stories about Muslims and Islam.”
Let endeavor to look at the severe situation of the citizens of Palestinians and let their situation be a motivation for us to keep going in our struggle for their freedom.
