At least nine people have been killed, and more than 300 injured following multiple explosions that occurred in various parts of Lebanon.
According to state media, these blasts took place just a day after a series of pager explosions, linked to Hezbollah members, killed 12 people and wounded thousands.
A security source and an eyewitness reported that several electronic devices, including walkie-talkies, hand-held radios, car batteries, laptops, smartphones, and solar panels, detonated across southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut. The blasts are suspected to have caused significant health risks to the affected individuals.
Hezbollah has held Israel responsible for the attacks, vowing retaliation. The Lebanese group announced that at least 200 individuals remain in critical condition as a result of the explosions.
Israel has refused to comment on the detonations.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces have killed eight individuals in an attack on a school in Gaza City, contributing to the death toll of 20 Palestinians within the last 24 hours. Since the onset of Israel’s war on Gaza, at least 41,272 people have been killed, and 95,551 wounded.
In Israel, the death toll from the Hamas led attacks on October 7 has reached 1,139, with more than 200 people taken hostage.
