To the girl behind my street,
The one whom Ramadhan helped find her hijab.
To the boy who lives next door,
The one whom Ramadhan rekindled his faith.
To the man who began completing his salary solely because of the arrival of Ramadhan.
To the umms who started giving sadaqah at the sight of Ramadhan.
What happens when Ramadhan departs?
To us and our faith?
To hijab and salat?
To sadaqah and feeding the poor?
To Tilawa and Ibaadah?
What becomes of being a practicing Muslim rather than just bearing the title?
What happens to attending lectures and lecturing people?
The teachings of Ramadhan should endure.
The lessons of Ramadhan should never depart with it.
As-solat is the identity of a Muslim.
Sadaqah is a feature of Islam.
Islam advocates for peace; thus, the departure of Ramadan should not erode the peace within our society.
Let us imbibe the spirit of giving and resist temptation to fall into sin.
Don’t release the goodies Ramadhan brought with it!
