No fewer than four Christian ladies embraced Islam at the Hijab Awareness Outreach organized by the Coalition of Nigerian Muslim Women.
The outreach, which took off at Millennium Park in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja on Saturday, March 3, 2024.
According to Muslim News, it was discovered that the event witnessed a total of four conversions. They adopted Zainab, Rahma, Asma’u, and Sharifah after sincere pronouncement of the Shahada (Declaration of Faith).
The meticulously organized outreach was part of the 2024 World Hijab Day activities annually observed by the Coalition of Nigerian Muslim Women.
The World Hijab Day, observed every February 1st in over 150 countries, celebrates women’s choice to wear the Hijab.
It was learnt that the Coalition annually gathers its members at Millennium Park to propagate Islam, engage with females outside the faith, and encourage them to don the hijab for the day.
These four ladies attended the event, became aware of its significance, and chose to wear the hijab. Through interactions with Muslim women, they were convinced about Islam, leading to their decision to accept it as their way of life.
This initiative not only promotes religious tolerance and understanding but also underscores the essence of being clad in the hijab.
