Hamas on Monday released video of some Israeli captives and demanding prisoner swap. The short video clip showed 3 of the more than 220 captives that are expected to be with the group.
Hamas had released a previous statement that 50 captives have been killed by the relentless and indiscriminate aerial bombing of the Gaza Strip by the Israeli Defense Forces.
The captives in the video criticised the Israeli government for failing to protect people during Hamas’s October 7 attack.
Daniel Aloni, one of the captives shouted “Release us now,” and begged the Israeli Government to release over 6000 Palestinians languishing in Israeli jails.
In a statement issued shortly after the release of the video, Netanyahu’s office condemned the clip as “cruel psychological propaganda” by Hamas and vowed to “do everything to return all the kidnapped and missing people home.
Meanwhile, the continuous bombing of Palestinians continues in the besieged Gaza Strip with reports of citizens receiving threats by the Israeli army over the phone telling them to evacuate as bombing continues and there are no safe routes. Hospitals, refugee camps and civilian residential areas have been mostly targeted by the aerial bombardments.
At least 8,306 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in Israeli attacks since October 7. More than 1,400 people killed in Israel
