Thousands of Muslims in Lagos State, Nigeria on Wednesday morning staged peaceful protest and besieged the State House of Assembly for a peaceful protest against the lopsidedness of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s nominations for commissiners.
Despite earlier calls for fair representation of Muslims, 20 out of the 39 commissioners nominated have so far been screened by the lawmakers.
As early as 8.30am, the President, Muslim Community of Lagos, Professor TGO, Gbadamosi is being joined by leaders of notable Muslim organisations who have been part of the struggle from inception.

The body needs to demand beyond the commissioner list. Muslims in Lagos State have been marginalized for a long time. i believe through this unity, we can make our voice heard in Lagos State
Finally One for all all for one ! Kudos to the Muslim leaders. The government will be shocked you are doing this. It believes in divide and rule. Unless u keep it up, and stand united this protest will achieve nothing ! Marginalisation has been on for too long. Allah guide us aright! We were lone rangers when we pointed out marginalisation of indigenes also before!
Where did the governor got his cure from. His mentor the president will not make such a mistake
