Winners have emerged in the grand finale of the Quiz and Essay competition organized by the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Lagos State Area Unit and Nasrul-lahi-l-Fathi (NASFAT). The event which was recently concluded earlier today at the Shamsi Adisa Thomas (SAT), Central Mosque Hall, Old Secretariat, GRA, Ikeja witnessed several dignitaries and participants in attendance.
Ademuyiwa Toheeb Adetomiwa who is a 200L student of the University of Abuja studying Medicine and Surgery emerged as the overall winner of the keenly contested essay writing contest.
Ademuyiwa emerged ahead of Oni Alli Atilola (Medicine and Surgery) and Omotoso Abiola Sodiq ( Mechanical Engineering) who came second and third respectively. Incidentally, both Alli and Sodiq are students of the premier University, The University of Ibadan.
Ademuyiwa was awarded a cash prize of N 400,000 while Alli and Sodiq went home with cash prizes of N250,000 and N150,000 respectively.
The NASFAT-MSSNLagos Quiz and Essay competition is a first of it’s kind partnership between the two organisations.
The secondary school categories of the competition were contested by up to 250 secondary schools from different parts of the 20 local governments area of Lagos state.
