A renowned Arabic Institute in Nigeria, Rawdatut-Tanzeel Tahfeez and Arabic School has held her second special monthly haqoh program.
The special Halqoh Program was held at the weekend at the residence of the Arabic Institute.
In an interview with newsmen, the director of the Arabic Institute, Ustadh Mutiu Uthman said the Halqoh program is aimed at educating the students on Islamic and academic knowledge.
Speaking at the Halqoh program, the guest speaker, Ustadh Saheed Muhammad-Jami’ Maadan, urged Muslims to seek ceaselessly, the favour of their Lord and be conscious of Allah at every point in their lives.
He lamented that many Muslims today were so preoccupied with worldly affairs that they do not have time to “answer the call of their Lord.”
He said: “Muslims are expected to remember Allah every day of their lives and seek His forgiveness every time. A good Muslim is expected to have a good knowledge of his religion, read the Qur’an, books on Islam and learn the sunnah and about other prophets of Allah to enrich his knowledge. A Muslim is expected to support his religion morally and financially because these are part of what will work in his favour on the Day of Reckoning.
“A Muslim must prioritise his salat (prayer), knowing that this is what will be used to raise him on the Last Day. We should continue to turn to Allah.”
