Dpath To Jannah Media Hub: Asalam alaikum sister
Aminat: Walaykumussalam waramotuLlahi wabarakatuh
Dpath To Jannah Media Hub: Can we meet you?
Aminat: I am Aminat Olabisi Adisa wife of Pharm. Rafiu-Kudaisi
Dpath To Jannah Media Hub: We heard that you are among those that were called to bar today in Abuja. How true?
Aminat: Yes, today being 28th of July, 2021 is my call to the largest bar in Africa as Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria
Dpath To Jannah Media Hub: How was the journey so far?
Aminat: Hmmm! My journey started 9 years ago. One year in pre-degree, 5years in OAU(you know OAU has it peculiarities, so we spent 7years) and 1year in Law School. My set is a peculiar one coupled with Covid-19 but here we are today, we have achieved our long time dreams, All Glory to the Almighty.
Dpath To Jannah Media Hub: How were you able to balance between your academic and Islamic affairs? Didn’t any of the two affect each other?
Aminat: You know when you put Allah first, every other things will become easier. I didn’t forget my obligations to my Lord, so it helped me to be focus and balance the two without one affecting the other. Need i tell you that excelling in my academics is part of my obligations as a Muslim!
Dpath To Jannah Media Hub: We learnt that you graduated from faculty of law in OAU. What challenges do you face during your undergraduate?
Aminat: Yes, I graduated in 2019 around February and did convocation December 2019.
There are numerous challenges but with Allah’s might, full support of my parents, families, brethren, friends and colleagues, I was able to scale through. OAU is not for the weaklings and in fact law school is a very hard one.
Dpath To Jannah Media Hub: Who is your mentor? Can you comment on any impact he or she has done in your life?
Aminat: My mentors! I have many of them and each occupies different aspect of my growth, development and personality. What everyone has been saying today stems from what my mentors have taught me and guided me on. They have been my guidance angels sent by Allah, I can’t exhaust their names, Allah knows them all. I pray Allah reward them immensely
Dpath To Jannah Media Hub: We learnt that you have recently married to your love. How will you be able to cope with your profession and your family?
Aminat: Yes, Akanbi mi! He has been my support system and my number one cheerleader in everything I do, especially, my career. He is an understanding husband so I’m sure nothing will hinder my career, he knows everything and we are planning it all together, in fact he motivates me more than I have ever motivated myself. Family and career are my goals, one is never going to affect the other.
Dpath To Jannah Media Hub: During your undergraduate, do you attend any Islamic programs? How have the programs helped in achieving your profession?
Aminat: Yes! Markaz-Dawah gave me the best platform to develop myself confidence, relationship with my Lord and people. The Adisa Aminat Olabisi people know today is a product of Dawah effort. May Allah continue to bless the brains behind the platform.
Dpath To Jannah Media Hub: What was your biggest challenge during your undergraduate?
Aminat: Biggest challenge you say, every step had it own challenges and with Allah’s help we surmounted them
Dpath To Jannah Media Hub: As a Muslim sister who is now a barrister, how well can you use your career in promoting the image of Islam?
Aminat: In service to Allah, to serve as voice for the cause of Allah, to stand firm as witnesses in the cause of Justice without fear nor favour and all others.
Dpath To Jannah Media Hub: What advice do you have for Muslim sisters, brothers and everyone?
Aminat: My advice is for my Muslim brothers and sisters to put Allah first and know that even the pursuit of their career is service to Allah. It’s not going to be easy but with trust in Allah, resilience, handwork and dedication the dreams shall come true! When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. No retreat no surrender!
