Students of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile Ife, Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) and others have emerged winners as Dpath To Jannah Media Hub released results of participants who participated in the Qur’an competition.
The competition which was opened for all Muslim students across tertiary institutions in Southwest was categorized into three stages which are Suratul Maryam, Suratul Lukman and Suratul Qaf in which participants were allowed to choose any of the category
Our correspondent had earlier reported that students who took first position in all the three categories of the Qur’an competition will take home with three thousand naira each.
However, while giving update on the results of the participants with our correspondent on Tuesday, the head of Islamic affairs of the Media hub, Ustaz Mutohir Abdulhammed disclosed that nine participants qualified for the Qur’an competition.
He said: “The results of the participants are now available. The results were graded based on merit by Ustaz Idris Adebisi who is the Chief judge of the Quran competition. Only nine participants qualified for the Qur’an competition in all the categories. Each participant that took first position will be given a reward of three thousands each on Thursday.”
The results are listed below:
CATEGORY 1 – SURATUL QOF
1. SHAAKIROH TIAMIYU (FUOYE) 93% – 1ST POSITION
2. SOFIYAH TAYO (OAU) 89%
3. ABDULHADI MUHAMMAD (UI). 70%

CATEGORY 2- SURATUL MARYAM
1. ISTIJABAH ABDULRAZAAQ

(MADRASATU AL-MUM’AH) – 94% – 1ST POSITION
CATEGORY 3: SURATUL LUQMAN
1. MUHSIN DAMILARE

2. ABDULAH RAJI (INNAYATULAH INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY. 80%
