What do you do when what you keep avoiding wanting you? What do you do when what you care more or less about becomes a tiny bone in your trachea? What do you do when an unseen scandalous pandemic causes you distraught? How do you feel when it keeps sweeping people to a land of no return? Let the answer rolls in your heart.
To start with, it would be a slap to humanity and a massacre to my pride if I decide to turn a blind eye to the evil that befell the Nation lately. Abba Kyari’s death is supposed to be an eye opener to the citizens that have inadvertently turned a blind eye to the ongoing pandemic Covid-19 as they think it is scam which the government establish to squander the citizens. I kept pondering upon who actually is selfish? Is it the government, or the subjects? Then, I realized we’re all fighting for our rights lackadaisically, paying no attention to its consequences as everyone wants his opinion to be strictly adhere to. People keep yearning for freedom regardless of the danger embedded with the so called freelance. I kept asking myself these questions;
Why can’t we patiently execute the enacted law and be safe of all these mess? Why can’t we just accept it as our fate and hope for good thing to happen?
Unfortunately, I couldn’t get an answer to why people so much love getting hurt out there than staying in their comfort zone and be safe. Did I just say Comfort? That’s the problem, they aren’t comfortable with it, as there is no adequate amenities. But the question is; would we never have satisfied?
Nevertheless, my humble condolences to Abba Kyari’s family, friends, most especially, the president, and well wishers. As his sudden deaths could have undisputable caused a disarray for the afforestated people. Your effort into helping Mr. President as regards all matters affecting our country can never be over-emphasized. You were endowed with an impeccable character and a selfless leader to other staffs working under you. A good instance of this is his open letter 7days after his isolation where he was commending the federal government, health workers for a job done well and also advised the citizens to take proper precautions, saying he would soon be at his desk. Unfortunately, he couldn’t as he was confirmed dead on the 17th of April. Abba Kyari was said to have contacted the virus during his visit to Germany on an official assignment on the 23rd of March, but was basically confirmed positive on the 31st of March. It’s so sad that a man of integrity as Abba Kyari could experience such, but we’re all helpless as the deed has already been done and can never be undone.
Consequently, once again I urge the afforestated people to take heart as regards his death. It’s high time the subjects reflected and the government took proper step as to prevent such event from reoccurring. I hope most ‘precaution apathy’ would have learnt there lessons abs start believing that Covid-19 is not a joke! Yoruba people will say, ‘Agba to jin ai koto fi KO ara iyoku logbon ni’. The implication is that, we should learn from others downfall not turning it into a laughing stock.
Eventually, I urge the federal governments to endeavour to lay adequate propagandas as regards curbing this pandemic Covid-19 if not eradicating it as soon as possible, because the earlier they say, is the better. It would be a cheat to the subjects if the federal governments get swayed away by the recent occurrence instead of looking for ways to eradicate it.
God bless Nigeria!!!
Stay home!!!
Stay safe!!!
Be hygienic in all your endeavors!!!
